Dealing with the Devil... It’s all about time and space right and wrong-Wrong mainly.   It’s about polarization the Devil, Lucifer, Beelzebub ; doing a web search came up with a lot of names including one guy mentioned that the names of his ex’s. What I am observing through study of what is available it that the all of the all is just that not good or bad but all of it for a balance.  What we call positive and good is not bad or wrong it is a reference point.  In nature a rabbit running full tilt away from a coyote sees getting away is seen as good while the coyote sees it as bad, IF they had the perspective of most humans.  I am observing that they don’t think in terms like humans perceiving good and evil and having assigned kin...

On the way back on a walk to get the paper early a few mornings ago the thought came up-what do many value acting in our society, culture.  I had never given it much thought or felt that it was unusual to think this YET it has effect on every one of us.  It had been years since I had stepped into a movie theater; this year I went to three movies.  Many don’t care about movie stars or the movies they act in or produce but may watch them as a DVD and some don’t own a TV set- some  are defenseless in our because they and others believe that actors act not people.  Is this naïve or a refusal to be a part of what they don’t agree with or understand?   These people who ACT and do it convincingly with breaks make big dollars and are respected...

The easel was set-up. With a colourful palette, a ready brush, a myriad ideas and a plethora of strokes in his repertoire, the artist was ready. Movements so elegant, so graceful, so profound and ever so sublime would have the audience spell-bound and rapt at attention. There was a surreal touch to his work. Oh the finesse of it all! His actions were exquisite and par excellence. More often than not, the way he would go about his job would be lucid and ethereal… For, his competitors would be left far behind gaping, seemingly tactless and wondering what had just hit them. Such was his dominance when he and his challengers took stage. All but one. It is known that Mother Nature has her own unique way to deal with dominance. And so, it se...

Every year for the past few years I meet up with some friends, some that I grew up with and have known all of my life, and play in a veterans 6-a-side football tournament. It is a family day out and a bit of fun for our team. Rarely have we ever threatened to win the tournament but we usually hold our own. This Saturday, in searing heat we entered feeling that we could do quite well. We lost a close run first game, 3-2, to the eventual winners of the tournament. During this game I covered plenty of ground, made plenty of challenges and even scored a penalty. The past 3 competitive penalties that I had taken were missed. That was over 10 years ago. When I stepped forward and put the ball in the net I exorcised a few skeletons and felt goo...

Most things are not black and white or even shades of gray they are multi-color multi-faceted and have texture.  The old sayings that might is right and it may be a last resort-violence BUT WHY?  Judgment for those in control  who have the power make sure everyone who is under their control understand fully that they are in charge and right.  Linda McPharlin and I were discussing on her journal INsight is 20/20 and a spark of thought came through we have an important choice to continue to support violence or to support peace.  Looking behind ourselves on this planet it has been a dangerous place because of people who crave power and control and the exercise of that power and control.  What we can change is who we are and that change will...
