Dealing with the Devil... It’s all about time and space right and wrong-Wrong mainly.   It’s about polarization the Devil, Lucifer, Beelzebub ; doing a web search came up with a lot of names including one guy mentioned that the names of his ex’s. What I am observing through study of what is available it that the all of the all is just that not good or bad but all of it for a balance.  What we call positive and good is not bad or wrong it is a reference point.  In nature a rabbit running full tilt away from a coyote sees getting away is seen as good while the coyote sees it as bad, IF they had the perspective of most humans.  I am observing that they don’t think in terms like humans perceiving good and evil and having assigned kin...

Religion- a "mixture of opposites", it has become. Religion has always been an age-old problem; right from early civilizations to the pre-Renaissance and Dark Age era, through to this very day. It is high time we become rationalised in our thoughts and look to religion for enlightenment. I welcome any sane discussion... God- the omnipresent One. "God"- what does this word bring to your mind? A mélange, shall we say- compassion and love to fear and power, to force, magic and sacrifice? What relevance does "God" have in the world of today. A world where corruption and materialism vie for the lions share. From a time of "My God is more powerful than your God!", to "There is no God; it is all Science."; we were and still are - skeptics. Ea...

On the way back on a walk to get the paper early a few mornings ago the thought came up-what do many value acting in our society, culture.  I had never given it much thought or felt that it was unusual to think this YET it has effect on every one of us.  It had been years since I had stepped into a movie theater; this year I went to three movies.  Many don’t care about movie stars or the movies they act in or produce but may watch them as a DVD and some don’t own a TV set- some  are defenseless in our because they and others believe that actors act not people.  Is this naïve or a refusal to be a part of what they don’t agree with or understand?   These people who ACT and do it convincingly with breaks make big dollars and are respected...

Life is long... It’s all our own; but when we are with friends, ‘estranged’ will be a word never to be heard. Time is the number of moments we find, and it fills our lives with joy and happiness. But when we part from friends, time will no longer seem what it used to be. We never know what the future has in store, yet  the  thoughts of friendship  and the bonds we share will bring us much needed solace. They say  time heals; nevertheless the moment of estrangement will be hard to heal. The shadows of life will grow longer  Some days will be happy, some sad, Yet the friendship you’ve made will grow stronger As you think of the good times you’ve had. A sincere friend is a precious possession, Whose value increases with years; Suffer...

I live near a School Bus stop shelter that is in a heavily wooded area and a side two lane road.  Someone or group had built it up on a little rise off of the road-a series of railroad ties lead to the single wooden bench at the top with sides and a slanted roof.  Over the years I have had the opportunity   to sit alone and watch traffic go by.  It is a great view; cars zoom by sometimes slowing down to make a turn.  I have been there on warm summer evenings and early mornings when the stars are bright in the dark black skies, winter days with snow and sleet with me pulling up my coat and hood in the corner of the shelter.  When it is dark and I cannot see the road I imagine that I am in a backwoods shelter far back in the woods.   When ...
