It has almost been two weeks since I left Dallas on a journey of self-love.  I packed up my car and drove to New Mexico to see friends in Santa Fe and followed up that delightful visit by heading to Colorado and seeing different sets of friends--staying at their homes and mixing in their lives for a few days at a time.  I call it a journey of self-love because I keep clearing away the clutter in my mind and when I look out I see these wonderful people reflecting love back to me.  I spent time in Eagle with some amazing and delightful children, and now am on my way to see my grandson.  Children are so inspiring because they are always in the present.  And that is pretty much what this journey has been about for me.  Loving simply being...

Several years ago, I wrote a book for my children. this is but one out of hundreds. Beyond our genetic limitations, we may have a lot of say so over our aging process. This process started long before we were born and, physically, will terminate about the same time we do. However, what happens during the time between your birth and demise may have a lot to do with how long you live. There are many who espouse the principal of exercise, hard work, etc, and then we have those who depend on a good and steady diet of healthy foods. Is this enough? Is this necessary, or is something missing? What if, and I only suggest, what if, it is our outlook, attitude and relationships that give us the greatest strength in a long and very happy li...

Dealing with the Devil... It’s all about time and space right and wrong-Wrong mainly.   It’s about polarization the Devil, Lucifer, Beelzebub ; doing a web search came up with a lot of names including one guy mentioned that the names of his ex’s. What I am observing through study of what is available it that the all of the all is just that not good or bad but all of it for a balance.  What we call positive and good is not bad or wrong it is a reference point.  In nature a rabbit running full tilt away from a coyote sees getting away is seen as good while the coyote sees it as bad, IF they had the perspective of most humans.  I am observing that they don’t think in terms like humans perceiving good and evil and having assigned kin...

Getting away from it all With the weather in the UK becoming more like a scene from the Hound of the Baskervilles with mist creeping across the eerie moor Brits are taking to package holidays to bask in the sun.  Despite a credit crunch and holiday companies going bust Brits are still flocking to sunnier destinations. You have to admit this British weather is becoming such a drag, who’d plan anything al fresco? I have witnessed this myself and friends recently returning from the sunny Mediterranean have commented on the British culture being exercised whilst on holiday. Where do I start, we all see it and either don’t care how we conduct ourselves or are embarrassed by their behaviour. Stuck out like a sore thumb Just sit ba...

On the way back on a walk to get the paper early a few mornings ago the thought came up-what do many value acting in our society, culture.  I had never given it much thought or felt that it was unusual to think this YET it has effect on every one of us.  It had been years since I had stepped into a movie theater; this year I went to three movies.  Many don’t care about movie stars or the movies they act in or produce but may watch them as a DVD and some don’t own a TV set- some  are defenseless in our because they and others believe that actors act not people.  Is this naïve or a refusal to be a part of what they don’t agree with or understand?   These people who ACT and do it convincingly with breaks make big dollars and are respected...
