Magic is a wonderful thing. For years I have been bamboozled by the mystic genius of thelikes of Houdini, David Copperfield, David Blaine, Derren Brown and Tommy Cooper. The escapism to our imagination is a most wonderful thing.  This weekend, through a most serendipitous chain of events, I landed myself in the garden of Darren Eden. The venue may have been a hotel room but all sorts were blossoming within those who attended.  Darren has nurtured a community of magicians, showing them how to tap into their intuition.  The simplicity of his message is the power of it – focus on what you love and take all obvious steps towards it.  When you spend time with magicians, synergistic wonder occurs. When you look for love from extern...

After a profound training With Clinton Swaine I have decided to own a few truths. He teaches many things. Perhaps the most important was the following. I wrote several messages afterwards. Here is one of them....   I hope that this e-mail finds you well, with life smiling upon you   After 11 days of training with Clinton I have left feeling energised and focussed. In one word it was enlightening   Our final exercise was to hold the hands and look into the eyes of each person there and say "The gift you are to me is....." This proved a very powerful and deeply moving experience   It made me own the fact that others see me very differently to how I saw myself. I have far more to offer than I once thought   The gift you are to me is your he...

Feeling physically unfit? Worried about a loss in mental acuity? See yourself as intellectual but want to hit out when things aren't going your way? Like sports? Like board games? Then why not take up Chess Boxing! Combination sports are all the rage these days and Chess Boxing is no exception. Devised by cartoonist, Enki Bilal in 1992, and fully realised in 2001, Chess Boxing combines the noble art of boxing with the ancient game of chess. Each bout is contested across eleven rounds, beginning with a round of chess, followed by a three minute round of boxing and so on. This is not a competition between boxer and grand chess master but between two contestants equally proficient in both fields. Sound good so far? My only questi...

I caught this useful fact by chance on the telly yesterday. I always say ‘’caught.. by chance’’ because I don’t want you to think I watch a lot of telly. I don’t. I just watch too much; it’s rubbish. But occasionally it throws up some serendipitous snippet like snoring cures because, let’s face it, when we get to a certain age we all succumb to the affliction. It can, apparently, be a serious detriment to the health of your brain. So be warned! (The snoring, not the TV. Well, both, probably.) I’ve had a fascination for didgeridoos, and other exotic instruments, ever since I discovered a dusty 45 of Rolf Harris’ ‘’Sun Arise’’ in my mum and dad’s record collection. Much later, Rolf explained to me, not personally but through th...

The Euro 2008 football this summer provided many thrills and spills, despite England’s absence. In many ways it was a less stressful and more entertaining affair due to my impartiality in most matches.   In the semi-final between Germany and Turkey it was notable that Turkey had a phenomenal spirit and, perhaps, deserved to win. Being the masters of the late comeback up until then, they were a team to be taken seriously until the final whistle. All night the German defender, Phillip Lahm, was given a torrid time by the Turkish team. Some people may remember that.   However, like in life – in football it is the last kick that counts. Whether it’s a penalty shootout or a winning goal deep into extra-time (as delivered ...

Beside my job I am studying at the MCI (Management-Center-Innsbruck) in Tyrol. I would be very thankful if you could FORWARD the survey-link to your INDIAN FRIENDS who might know INDIAN PEOPLE who will travel AUSTRIA (the survey is mainly about AUSTRIA) in the near future.   Even if you are ...
