Relocating can be one of the most troubled job as well as fun and adventure. If proper measures and To-do lists are made with due care, then it can be very satisfying. One of the most important thing while relocating is to look at your job profile and the better location of your stay where you can execute your business activities. Relocation always requires some initial investment so it is better to check about the finer details. As this job has made this happen, so proper planning should be done and with the management every possible aspect should be discussed on your relocation apartment. Is TV the most awful invention of the human race, or the most amazing? Whilst sitting watching TV the other night - Ok, yes, I have admitted it, I am a sinner, I do own a TV and I do watch it! - I got inspired to write this journal and show how you can approach a question like this in a Demartini Stye. So, we all know the reasons why TV is considered 'Bad', but here's just a few: 1) There are better things that you 'should' be doing with your time, like reading, cooking, exercising and playing2) It's full of 'evil' marketing people trying to get us to buy stuff that we don't need and brainwashing us3) It turns us into a nation of sofa hugging fatties, who get mesmorised by hours of TV4) It's full of violence and encourages people to beha...

What's going on with the Credit Crunch? There are two factors to consider when viewing the credit crunch.  How it affects yourself, and how it affects those around you.  These might be very different, because you will not be necessarily affected in the same way.  So just because some might find it a difficult time, does not mean that you need to perceive it that way. How it will affect you is partially already decided, because wheels are in motion, you already have certain circumstances, jobs and health challenges and financial issues that are going to run their course.  But the most important decider is how you are going to decide to perceive it and when are you going to act? This can be your turning point.  The ...

RE: 10 things I want my kids to know Could you do me a favour? As a parent, there are 10 things I'd like my kids to know. Thing is, if I tell them, they won't get it. That's the law: the last place you seek wisdom is from your mum and dad; just look at the mess they've made! My kids know me too well to think that anything as profound as this could come from my lips. Nonetheless here's my legacy. I sincerely hope it helps in a seemingly ever-more turbulent world. Any chance you could email it to them as one of those “The Dalai Lama said this and if you don't send it to 10 other kids, he's gonna tell Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie” e-chain letters, so they won't know it's me? Here it is; 1.Life is good. Remember this...

If you live in the increasingly draconian UK, you may be aware of the move to vaccinate 13 year-old girls against cervical cancer at school. If you don'tlive in the UK, count your blessings; well at least this one. Pictured here is Hollie Anderson, the UK's first 13 year-old to get an anti-cervical-cancer jab (photo courtesy of Daily Mail) whose mother lost no time getting her injected privately. In many of the UK's state schools, she could have saved £450, because it's planned as part of the service alongside an education that teaches you how to be quiet between 9 and 5 for the next 40 years. I digress however... Where do I begin when it comes to the propostion of my youngest daughter getting such a jab next year? With "No tha...

When I think about my own childhood and the memories of my own acheivement, my father had an approach to praise that used to baffle me. He would never outwardly demonstrate his pleasure about any of my acheivements, whether it be academic, vocational or as a sporting champion. So we never celebrated any of my results. The outcome of this was that in years to come, I never told my parents about my many achievements and the goals I'd reached. This included the hundreds of Martial Arts competitions I fought it in or the many little successes I enjoyed. The contrast between the relationship between my father and me and that between my children and myself is as stark as you can get. As a child, the communication between my father and I w...

Lionel Richie and The Commodores may have to make way for that lesser known, yet equally soulful beat combo Satish Kumar and Resurgence Magazine who have announced their first Slow Sunday on 27th July 2008. The Resurgence Trust has taken its inspiration from two of the most profound philosophies of our time – E.F. Schumacher’s ‘Small is beautiful’ and Mahatma Gandhi’s ‘Be the change you want to see in the world’ and this year's theme is baking bread. "In each issue of Resurgence magazine we will nominate one Sunday when we will invite our readers to take part in simple actions that symbolise a rejection of commercialism, a passion for the planet and a desire for change," they say. "We believe that big change is possible through sma...

Jenna was busily working at her desk that Monday morning when she received a call from one of her friends that his grandmother had passed. She had never met this woman or known this person for very long yet she found herself weeping in her office like she had lost a dear companion. Brushing away the tears, she saw an image of pale white hands, shaking, controlled, beautiful and holding onto glass rosary beads and grasping a faded blue book. As she questioned herself, the image disintegrated and she was left with an indelible portrait of this tiny beautiful old woman dressed in pink, cream and navy with delicate white porcelain hands sitting pensively in a corner of a quiet cool garden surrounded by white roses. Jenna could hear chi...
