When I went into London today I picked up a copy of the Metro. I very rarely read anything other than the sports pages on any newspaper as it is usually bad news. Being a Liverpool fan means that even the sports section is bad news at the moment! Though the exit of Hicks and Gillette has provided at least a silver lining! Today I was intrigued to see on the top of the front cover: "Caught between a croc and a hard place. Astonishing revelation about plane crash that killed British pilot and 19 others.....flight was brought down by a crocodile." I was curious enough to read the story. It turns out that on a flight in the Democratic Republic of Congo one of the passengers had managed to smuggle a crocodile on board in a sports bag. Before ...

Today it seemed that no matter where I was there was someone mumbling about the “gray and gloomy day”. Twice I tried to interject that perhaps gray is the under side of a rainbow but no one seemed to care. Really I tweeted to one friend, if you take all the colors of the rainbow and mix them in a bowl you get gray. Sometimes we all need a gray day, did you ever notice that when one comes along suddenly everyone becomes circumspect and quiet, like the world has died and we are all preparing for the funeral? Gray always makes me look inside myself, how am I doing when the sun doesn't shine, am I still speaking in ways that will bring change to peoples thinking? Do I still work on the connection to the spiritual self that is the essence of ...

Do you want to know where you can find a fresh spring water source near you? www.findaspring.com This website is a great initiative – it’s not globally comprehensive so if you know of a spring that’s not mentioned, tell them about it.  If there isn’t a spring near you just google ‘spring water (and the town or area you live in)’.  You may have to be somewhat persistent but you’ll probably learn something valuable. Last week I visited the Homewell Spring at Havant in Hampshire, pictured above. Thankfully I have equipment that measures the TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) and could give Daniel at ‘findaspring’ the details. Dawsing The other way to find water is to dowse for it.  I am currently engrossed by Elizabeth Brown’s book “Dowsi...

This evening I had taken a few minutes to look at the past year and at some point within the past many years began to realize that there are Many Truths.  Yes I realize that some believe there is only the One Truth and they and others know this Truth and it is one of the many. A truth for me is that what I perceive or believe is a truth until I choose another perspective or belief.  Most of us have heard that the only constant in this life is change and change it does. I like others had thought that my and those who agreed with me or those truths were the constants and others were misinformed, not aware or just plain not getting it. I have been making an attempt to understand, perceive and practice Unconditional Love for a year now...

What would it feel like? I have spent a lot of time exploring and had not spent much time learning of this place and have ignored much of the splendor and heaven that is available.  I watched a video on Facebook ; Abraham Hicks What Would It Feel Like.  I had heard of Abraham Hicks and just started reading some of their material, and though not an endorsement or challenge feel the unconditional love of the message.  This uplifting, hope giving video/message is wonderful providing a balance to the message that in most of my fifty plus years of this life have not been told.  That negative message is that we are prone to wrong doing; that we are not good or deserving, and have to work hard, suffer and dream of heaven in a life beyond here...

Black hair can be more curly than others, that is the reason why many prefer braided hairstyle. Black hair are more prone to moisture damage. Hair care products which contain extra moisture ingredients are essential in the maintenance of black hair. It is advisable to use a conditioner which can be left in the hair without washing twice a week. Quick Weave Hairstyles for Black Women Weave hairstyles are popular among black women. With weaves you can add color, highlights, texture, or any other style you can think of. Quick weave hairstyles for black women are basically custom made wigs, and the client can choose any type of hair weave, which is made of natural human hair.  The most important benefit of quick weaves, is that you c...

Perhaps we can celebrate this day by showing kindness to one another, forgiving someone, being compassionate or empathetic to the problems of those around us, and by loving both each other AND ourselves! Much love to you all, Linda McPharlin, Power in We Global Ambassador www.powerinwe.org PS: I invite you to join me this evening on a short phone call for Peace Day. Bengal (Indian State) has always played the pioneering role in the field of sweets .A true Bengali will consider a meal incomplete without sweets. Bengali sweets like Rassogolla, Sandesh and others are a delight and are termed as 'Jewels in the Crown' of Bengali food. Any Bengali will confess that he has a great weakness for sweets. This is because millions of sweets are consumed hourly in Bengal. These sweets are generally made of sweetened cottage cheese (chhenna) and Khoa (reduced solidified milk). The most famous of all the sweets is the 'Rosogulla'. This Bengali invention has become a worldwide symbol of uniqueness for them. History of the invention of sweets in Bengal: Lacerated milk was considered unhygienic and inconsumable i...

Dresses are women’s best friends. But Raksha had never been obsessive about them. Only until last month, when she went hanging out with her cousin Ananya, wife of a London-based investment banker. , who picked up a dress Raksha just can’t forget.  The 23-year-old Raksha watched as her cousin tried more than a dozen dresses in a high-profile boutique in Mumbai. And the dress Ananya picked unexpectedly turned Raksha green with envy. She decided to return soon and pick a similar stuff for herself. Raksha has been working with a buying house for the past 6 months earning Rs 20,000 per month. The dress cost her cousin Rs 10,000, almost half of Raksha’s salary. Divorce, or the end of an emotional and legally recognised relationship between a man and a woman is perhaps one of the most painful events in a person’s adult life. We can prevent it from happening by handling sticky situations with some calm and wit. But as we all know there are times when things become unavoidable. Then the intelligent move will be to prepare yourself for the unpleasant situation rather brood over it. STOP LIVING IN DENIAL Once you finally recognise the marriage is not working out after you have genuinely tried to save it, start preparing for its demise, before your partner and the situation overwhelm you. And quicker you are in preparing yourself for the agony ahead, better you can handle yourself mentally, psycho...
