Ever since I’ve been living in New Delhi all by myself, this feeling of people’s interference has intrigued me more often than not. Sometimes it’s made me wonder if living single brings along a baggage. But over the years I noticed interestingly, that Indians in general are curiously inquisitive about anything which is not their business. Initially the neighbours/semi-strangers/ office colleagues enquire about your age and then your marital status and the reason for being single. Not satisfied, they want to know the reason for your living single and why parents do not stay together. The amount of rent and if there’s some partner staying together is also enquired about. Bucketful of advise such as it’s risky for a single female living a...

…if there does happen to be a zombie uprising one day we here in the UK are at a major disadvantage to the US.  For starters there are significantly less gun owners over here, and unlike in the US we couldn’t just nip to a Wallmart and loot ourselves some if there was a zombie apocalypse.  Say what you like about the US and their gun laws, they would help out against the undead.  I don’t think there’s even that many fire axes dotted about like you see in the movies, all we have are those tiny little hammer things for smashing the windows on trains.  Although it does all depend on what kind of zombies we’re dealing with.  If its the old school, slow as hell, low moaning kind then in reality someone with a good bit of sense should do OK.  ...

To this day, I have no idea what to make of the following incident. On the surface, it may appear as a silly little coincidence. But in my heart I have always felt that something more was at work here. For instance, was it something as profound as subconscious telepathy or instant manifestation? Or was it just a coincidence?  ***** For starters, you need to know that when it comes to emotional outbursts, living in a house with four women (my wife and three daughters) I am by far the most even-tempered one of the lot. And, because of that, on the rarest of occasions when I do lose my temper, my wife and kids take notice. Also, you need to know that I am the last one in my family to experience cravings for sweets. That said, you can now ...

Clothes should be optional but the line "Are you decent" has thrown a money or spanner into the works.  The line are you decent after reading here at CS seems counter intuitive or an oxymoron.  We are all decent with or without clothes yet many maintain morals yet we don't demoralize the babes entering this world in their birthday suits so why stop there? This line has always bugged me.  Here in America it means do you have enough clothes on for people to look at you.  Yes there are also laws that insist that you have clothes on in order to keep lawful, unless you’re on a nudist beach or in your own home or other places its authorized.   As a heterosexual male I have always been fond of the female form and have found females in all sh...

When I went into London today I picked up a copy of the Metro. I very rarely read anything other than the sports pages on any newspaper as it is usually bad news. Being a Liverpool fan means that even the sports section is bad news at the moment! Though the exit of Hicks and Gillette has provided at least a silver lining! Today I was intrigued to see on the top of the front cover: "Caught between a croc and a hard place. Astonishing revelation about plane crash that killed British pilot and 19 others.....flight was brought down by a crocodile." I was curious enough to read the story. It turns out that on a flight in the Democratic Republic of Congo one of the passengers had managed to smuggle a crocodile on board in a sports bag. Before ...

Now I am sure that some of you will disagree and I would like to hear why you think that is good for anyone by any of the definitions provided below. I added some other things that fall right in with abstinence and its mechanisms. If you like this or agree great let me know.  If you think that this is a crock of fertilizer then let me know that and why.  This is one of those things that we think of but seldom talk or discuss. Wikipedia states that Abstinence “is a voluntary restraint from indulging in bodily activities that are widely experienced as giving pleasure” Ok right there...  Would a reasonable person be willing to give up or abstain from pleasure?   I thought myself reasonable an in right mind in my life but have done just tha...

Thursday, September 02, 20109/2/2010 4:57:54 AM Spent much of the week's dream time in places and situations that were nightmares on steroids; this morning’s dream/walk was interesting in that a friend had picked me up from a tourist summer tropical market, she said of the past week hoped that I would see that I should be who I am not what others want me to be. That’s a tough one for most of us.  We place conditions on ourselves and others not giving ourselves or others the chance to be who they are. I had forgotten is that what’s around me is much better than the realities of the recent dreams.  In these dreams I was an observer not a participant making choices or an active part of the dream.  We can observe yet making choices and bei...

Here in the US we drive on the right hand side of a two lane road and the steering wheel is on the left side of the car.  We have what we call freeways that are not free because we pay taxes to build them but they are not toll ways except when they are attached and you have no choice but to pay the toll.  The rules of the road are that the far left lane in a multi lane pathway going the same direction is the emergency and passing lane most places here.  Most often many use this lane as an unofficial fast lane and go over the speed limit both civilians and emergency agencies and law enforcement.  The only people I see getting speeding tickets are civilians. On the way home listening to the radio there were two view points about those wh...
