There is a literal race that we seem to be involved in against one another. It is the comparing, competing, contending, and striving that we do with each other on an individual and collective basis. We use personalities, actions, appearances, geographic locations, education, vocation, material goods, etc. to divide, measure, and place ourselves ahead or behind our fellow humans.
It isn't the healthy competition that pushes everyone to be their best. It is the type of race that holds us back from the lives we were meant to live-both individually and collectively. We decide how successful we are, how happy we are, and even WHO we are based on the race instead of truth.
