As a punter-gatherer, I avoid supermarkets and favour small independent shops and markets. What’s more, as a hedolist, I seek out food that satisfies not only my tastebuds, but my conscience too, as well as our dear mother - Mother Earth.
Yes, I know I sound like a bit of a navel-gazing, body-is-my-temple,
poseur-purist with more time on my hands and more money than I know
what to do with, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. I hate
the myths that keep people attached to bad food, unethical suppliers
and a sick, globalised society. Eating well needn’t be problematic or
cost the earth; whilst eating badly probably does - in the most literal
sense.
