I have since lost the ability, however, I used to practice a form of channeling -- meaning, I would sit in silence, say a prayer of protection, and then, without judging the words, simply let them flow in a stream of consciousness. Although my heart could always feel the intent of the message, often reducing me to tears as I typed, from my mind's perspective, it often seemed as though I was writing gibberish -- this because the words only flowed one or two at a time, without any conscious foreknowledge of the subject at hand. Thus, it often came as an exciting surprise to finish the exercise and find coherent thoughts and ideas expressed on the page.
