A few yeas ago in the US Bill Gates of the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, challenged US state governors to improve the education of the US students.  One of the points that they brought up is an A is not an A within a state or across the country.  The challenged not only the kindergarten through 12 grade but continued on with the junior colleges and 4 year colleges and beyond.    The Gates nosing into education and politics were not appreacated yet they continue to help education and provide scholarships.  Bill Gates has stepped down from Microsoft now for some time and has with Melinda and family put into full time effort in making this world a better place.  A few of the people I know have alluded to him as not the anti-Christ but ...

Having a multilingual family I have often ask myself what is the best method for helping my children to learn and be proficient at several languages at the same time.  After 6 years, I am still trying to find the right balance and a concrete answer for this question.  So far, I believe that there is not a best method, but that there are several methods suitable for individual families.  that is to say that for each family there is "one best method" that works for them.  There are clearly some approaches that allow the child to develop the consciousness of two language systems more quickly than others.
