I stand atop this pinnacle of stone as all I know floats in a rising tide around me, rising higher, once forgotten memories pushed far to the bottom of my soul now raised like some monster shipwreck, bobbing in the rising swells of my mind. The distant glow of what the world used to mean sputters like a dying flame in the winds of oblivion. All you hold dear will crumble, shatter in a rain around you, a mess of worn out party fiends, no momentum left now, you reap what you sow. A generation of mess-heads always eager for the next fix but oh so reluctant to pay with anything but their souls, sold to the neon gods for the highest bid, the promise of a better night and a darker tomorrow. "And the time came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."  -- Anais Nin Maureen at Writing without Paper shared information today about Meg Wheatley's new book:  Perseverance.  Maureen does a lovely job of introducing the book which will be out in September. I’m not human or machine I’ll suck your house clean out of food. I cause tension and disgust Because you know that I must be fed well. I’m not bothered what I eat Just so long as it’s not meat as I’m veggie. I’m a gobbling, consuming entity A monster mouth who likes his treats I am a Foodie! This is quite an old poem I wrote a while back.  Some what bizarre, not technically great but I like the images.

Despite apologising and reasoning, the steward, for want of a better title, was irreconcilable; his manner hostile and his language accusatory to the last. I had no option but to let it go. I was offended and it left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I tried to dig some more but my heart wasn’t in it. There was only one thing for it; I had to walk the dog. Walking the dog is an excuse for profound meditation, mulling it over. Of course, you don’t actually need a dog but it helps to be seen muttering to something sensible rather than yourself, and a dog doesn’t interrupt or offer an opinion....
