…if there does happen to be a zombie uprising one day we here in the UK
are at a major disadvantage to the US. For starters there are
significantly less gun owners over here, and unlike in the US we
couldn’t just nip to a Wallmart and loot ourselves some if there was a
zombie apocalypse. Say what you like about the US and their gun laws,
they would help out against the undead. I don’t think there’s even that
many fire axes dotted about like you see in the movies, all we have are
those tiny little hammer things for smashing the windows on trains.
Although it does all depend on what kind of zombies we’re dealing with.
If its the old school, slow as hell, low moaning kind then in reality
someone with a good bit of sense should do OK. Just keep yourself
moving and your eyes open. To quote Shaun of the Dead, ‘they’re
zombies, they’re not all that’. If however its these new school, fast
as fuck, terrifying scream kind then that’s a whole other kettle of
fish, and unfortunately, seeing as how a rage inducing virus is more
likely than the dead walking the earth, its probably what we’d be up
against. Unless you happen to be lucky enough to have booked an all
inclusive cruise holiday during said zombie apocalypse you’re probably
going to end up a bit bitey yourself. Maybe its just me who spends a
little bit of time each day shuddering in fear and trying desperately to
think of ways to survive, but I feel it is time well spent…maybe.
