Dealing with the Devil...

It’s all about time and space right and wrong-Wrong mainly.   It’s about polarization the Devil, Lucifer, Beelzebub ; doing a web search came up with a lot of names including one guy mentioned that the names of his ex’s.

What I am observing through study of what is available it that the all of the all is just that not good or bad but all of it for a balance.  What we call positive and good is not bad or wrong it is a reference point.

In nature a rabbit running full tilt away from a coyote sees getting away is seen as good while the coyote sees it as bad, IF they had the perspective of most humans.  I am observing that they don’t think in terms like humans perceiving good and evil and having assigned kings and queens of light and dark, good and evil.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C._S._Lewis

C. S. Lewis 1898-1963 the author wrote  of a place called Narnia  where talking animals saw good and evil as Aslan a great male lion (pure good) and the evil white witch (pure bad) had turns ruling the kingdom/planet  Narnia.

There is a paradigm of time/space good/bad beginning/end of time in that if it is in between it is within balance.  Our existence is between it all except when it is not.  Simply put many try to unbalance this existence including theirs by artificially pulling to one side or another.

Many will say that you have to choose your side.  Humans ask this of others.  We are all capable of the good and bad things that humanity has to offer this existence and have examples of that long before people assembled at campfires to keep warm and passed stories on for generations.

In a sense we deal with how we want to approach ourselves and others in a positive or negative or a balanced way.  Many see that the positive intent is the best while others see a negative approach as best.  I see both of these as unbalanced.  I imagine that many who subscribe to either view point of good or evil as being the right choice as it were being incredulous to that thought that either is unbalanced.

In the US as in many places our politics are interesting we have the Democrats (progressives) and the Republicans (conservatives) who give the title to each other as the Evil ones while they are the chosen ones who do no evil.

Both have their good points and bad points neither wholly good nor evil but can and are at given points.  The interesting part is that both extremes in this country are beginning to not like the current president because he is not heralding their mission or beliefs.

If we choose to pick one side or another then we are choosing to attempt unbalance and preference for weighing the outcome of our existence.

At some point one must deal with in and search for our core or not.  When this mind/body shell converts back to the elements that they were prior to our occupying them their influence and our decision to polarize to good  or evil will no longer make sense.  Yes that is my thought and perception as I see the Devil as humanity fulfilling its selfish desires at the expense of others.  To make it clear draw a line and put evil on one end and good on the other.  We all are somewhere in the middle of that line.  No matter where you are if you look toward the goal or direction you are going to you are and fall short of that goal.  If you realize that you are where you are and that you seek balance,  You’re perfect as you are.

Now there are and will be those who will say you are NOT because you need to be better or are not evil enough. These are those who subscribe to polarization and without inclusion.  In simple words you must not be human you must choose a side and fight the other.

The point of this journal a reminder for me that many including myself has given credit for the devil when I have done things that were bad, not good, harmful non productive in essence the old saying “the devil made me do it”. Taking responsibility for my actions mind/body in my view requires that accepting this mind/body actions.
I don’t subscribe to the existence of the Devil and think that he/she is a humanistic invention to control people through fear and intimidation.
Many I have talked to over the years have told me if I don’t believe in the Devil then I can’t believe in God. I am not quite sure of this logic but it’s not my logic. My view of who God is different than those who believe in the Devil for some of these people God is an super being or human if a powerful form or a deity that can assume human form. I come from a view point that God is a process and that in this dimension we are all a part of that process. That within its self causes an issue with some because they say “You think your God?” I tell them if you want to see God look everywhere... Look at you loved ones, into their eyes, look into the mirror, look at nature, look beyond your sight through your mind... A few told me that it was silly or that that does not make any sense.
There are two issues, 1 we are all one then my explanation makes more sense, 2 that we are not the mind/body. That makes sense when for example when the Dalai Lama says that we are visitors or tourists. It makes whole sense to me that these minds/bodies are just shells that we use. We live experience and collect data and images and learn, understand, love, care, hate (I use a negative emotion because we learn and use all emotions and feelings and at times do not feel )

This is another issue.

You’re perfect as you are.

I have been as many taught that this phrase or statement is not true. We treat ourselves as we are not worthy and filth and can be brought up. We are there when we realize that we are perfect as we are. By not living this and understanding this I have placed expectations on others through tout my life and myself that has cause grief and misunderstanding. Yes these are my thoughts and some will agree and others will not yet that is ok.

Hi David
Yes I agree. You are already perfect as you are and when you are something else you will still be perfect as you as something else.
There is not a thing wrong anywhere unless we make it so.

What a relief to know that what another is or isn't is not our business
unless we are needed to help in some way.

Edna,
Pulled up email and found your response and thought it might be one of my recent posts and Was I surprised to see the guy with the horns at the top of the page. Thank you for your observations. I had often thought that sin was a man made thing and others assigning it or judging others or ourselves and declaring it SIN. I am thankful for you as I have often in my life STUCK my nose in other people's business with varying degrees of success and gratitude or anger. It is particularly hard for me to stand back and let a loved one flounder or what appears floundering; from my perspective to anguish and muck along and not involve me or ask for help. The mind plays funny tricks and tells us all sorts of stuff. My question is when do we intervene or do we back away? When from my perspective a person continue to stay way or not talk I take that as at the least not friendly but realize that they are probably not even thinking about it or me; not that helps feeling good about ones self. Is that not so funny when we are as one there is no separation yet while we continue the illusion of separateness that we can become lonely. Amazing this...
